I lay no claim to being smarter that anyone else, I just like simple fairness whether you are on the left, right or in the middle of the aisle. Thus this is my random ramble of the day.
I clearly remember the jubilation that followed the election of President Obama. I also remember the "I never thought I would see this happen in my lifetime (the election of a black president)" speeches.
I remember the tremendous inaguration cermony and the massive crowds that turned out for the occasion on that cold January morning and who could forget the boasting of the speaker of the house "we won and they lost".
So now my question is, when will Mr Obama be president?
In asking that i mean; when will he and his staff take responsibility for the running of the country? In most of his speeches local and abroad I hear cleverly disguised digs at the former president (Bush).
If I hear one more news network pundit or talk show host say "the last eight years, the last administration, George W. Bush, The republicans" i think i will go crazy.
I do not know much, but at what point do we no longer have to hear about what the previous president did or did not do.
If the Bush years were so awful from its genesis why would anyone reelect him and his policies for another four years.
I do not remember much complaining when the housing bubble was intact and houses were being sold like hot cakes. I do not remember any complaining when the stock market hit its highest ever point or when there was a period of steady job growth.
Sure there are a lot of things that Bush did that are fair to criticize, but please get off this rant of the "last eight years" it is old, it is stale and that horse has been long dead.
